Transport Rendezvous hosts the 24 Hours of Innovation

The AMETVS and the ACCORD Center of Excellence programs on interregional transport for Centre-du-Québec, Estrie, Laurentides and Montérégie regions are pleased to host the university contest called “24 Hours of Innovation” during the Transport Rendezvous 2010. The concept originated from the École supérieure de technologies industrielles avancées (ESTIA), in Bidart, France -- which was co-organized with the École de technologie supérieure of Montréal (ÉTS) -- has proven to be very successful in October 2009 as it attracted close to 200 participants. The purpose of the contest is to solve an issue, to create an innovation or to provide possible solutions on a given subject. The contest runs from 10 a.m. on May 11th to 10 a.m. on May12th.

“What makes this contest special, said Denis Robillard, General Manager of the AMETVS, is that students will have exactly 24 hours to develop an innovative project on a given subject. Held during the Transport Rendezvous, the contest will allow participants to see the teams working on their project, as they will be working close to the lecture hall. This contest is an initiative of the École de technologie supérieure (ETS).”
